Connecting your PayPal Business account

In this article you will learn how you, as a creator, can connect your PayPal account to directly receive payments on your zezam profile.

⚠️ Requirement:

For the best experience we recommend using a PayPal business account. If you have a private account with PayPal, you can switch your account to a business account free of charge. 

🗺️ Step by Step Instructions:

1. Open the your "Settings" page

2. Click on "Connect" in the Connect with PayPal field. You will see the following pop-up:

3. To add your Merchand ID go to https://www.paypal.com/businessmanage/account/aboutBusiness if you have an existing business account.  

If you still use a personal account go to https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/settings/ - here you can also upgrade to a business account for free.

4. Log in developer.paypal.com with your PayPal credentials and click on "Log into dashboard" in the upper right hand corner.

5. Now you click on My Apps & Credentials in the lefthand menu and then you convert to "Live" 

6. Create your "Rest API" by clicking on "Create App"

7. Name your app (any name is fine) and then click on "Create App."

8. You will then find the information that is required to connect your PayPal account to zezam, such as " Secret" and "Client ID", which you will then copy paste and add on zezam. 🚨 Click on "Show" to see your secret.

9. Add all the data in the respective fields on your zezam account and click save.
